The mission of the Syracuse University Infrastructure Institute is:
To facilitate efficient, effective and socially responsible infrastructure development and rehabilitation, globally and domestically, through educational programs, research and commentary.
To support and supplement university colleges, departments and faculty with an infrastructure focus; extend the academic depth; facilitate research and related funding; fill in gaps in academic offerings and generate media engagement.
To serve as a forum that integrates the diverse capabilities and offerings of university colleges, departments and faculty with an infrastructure focus through a supportive and collaborative institute.
